Vektra is an Architectural Lighting Agency, representing high-quality, leading edge, lighting manufacturers from Canada and Europe. Our manufacturers are committed to research and technological innovation, collaborating with the best LED companies and internationally acclaimed Architects around the world.
Our team of lighting professionals are known to be passionately committed to the design vision of our clients, assisting through concept and design development phases to the final product selection, achieving optimal results. In conjunction with our technical lighting knowledge, the team at Vektra all have interior design and architectural backgrounds in which we assimilate our client’s design intent and articulate professional recommendations on specification, product knowledge, and application possibilities.
Formed in 2001, Vektra has established long standing relationships within Alberta’s residential and commercial specification community, including interior designers, architects, lighting designers, electrical engineers, electrical wholesalers and contractors.

Tara Gerle - Principal & Managing Director
Tara has been in the lighting industry for 25 years, bringing quality manufacturers to the Alberta market. Assisting firms in reaching budget requirements while realizing design vision, she educates the A.D.E. community of new technologies and advancements in the industry. Tara respects the creative values of design built on the foundations of architecture and communicates this in her passion for lighting.
Paul Gerle - Director of Design & Marketing
Paul offers a wealth of knowledge to any project. With a Master’s degree in Architecture, his experience presents itself in his attention to detail. Paul excels at working on residential projects, and believes the client relationships are integral to excellence in the lighting design process.
Leanne DeCorby - Calgary Associate
Leanne’s degree in interior design provides a reverence for the design community and she is dedicated to our client values. Leanne is detail oriented, responsive, and meticulous in providing quotes, specifications, budget pricing, samples, order procurement and expediting. Communication is key to any successful project.
Marydale Young - Edmonton Associate
Marydale took up residence in Edmonton in 2010, where she continues to work with the architectural, design and engineering community, presenting new technologies and providing excellence in customer service. Marydale is committed to bringing the best quality, performance and design in lighting to projects from conception, to completion, and beyond.
